You may wonder why a site designed to love on Round Top so frequently flirts with towns like LaGrange or Smithville or Carmine. I don’t see it as disloyalty. More as open-mindedness. Round Top style runs all over the surrounding prairies and hills and so therefore do I.
And while I’m trying to explain what I mean by “Round Top,” I need to tell you what you may already know. There are two Round Tops: The town & the show. One is wee, delightful, historic, artsy, well-manicured, restful, cultured and the definition of the word charming. The other is sprawling, energizing, tangled and utterly captivating. The first is waiting for you forty-six weeks of the year. The other is a semiannual treat. Both are evolving and becoming more lovable all the time. Which one do you think is dreamier?
